DescriptionFounded in 1974, Community Access celebrates its 50 th Anniversary as a pioneer of supportive housing and social services in NYC for people with mental health concerns. We proudly lead advocacy efforts that rally our community to promote human rights, social justice, and economic opportunities for all. We are built upon the simple truth that people are experts in their own lives. Our programs are spread across 25 locations and include over 1200 units of supportive housing in three boroughs, the Howie the Harp Advocacy Center, East Village Access—a PROS program, Peer-driven Crisis Respite Center, Adult Home Initiative, Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) and Intensive Mobile Teams.
Department OverviewThe Senior Managment Team is responsible for establishing the strategic goals of Community Access in line with the vision, mission, and values of the organization, and providing leadership to the various departments and programs to enable them to accomplish those goals. The Executive Assistant reports to the CEO and Chief People Officer (CPO) and also provides support to the other members of the Senior Management Team.
Position: Executive Assistant
Work Location: Main Office, New York, NY
Wage: $75,000 to $90,000

Position OverviewThis is an exciting opportunity for an detail oriented individual with an entrepreneurial spirit (read proactive, highly organized, with a can-do spirit) who can handle a wide range of administrative tasks and responsibilities. The Executive Assistant will be responsible forensic calendar management, meeting scheduling and event coordination; managing special projects and research; liaising with key external and internal stakeholders; correspondence; assistance with board activities; assistance in grant application preparation; providing general administrative support, and routine office-related functions. QualificationsQualifications
- Have an understanding, appreciation, and commitment to the philosophy and mission of Community Access
- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent (GED) - Bachelor’s degree in related field, preferred
- At least five (5) years of administrative experience in a non-profit setting required
- Previous experience working in an executive assistant function, preferred
- High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations. This position continually requires demonstrated poise, discretion, and diplomacy.
- Able to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization
- Excellent organizational skills, time management and planning skills
- Demonstrated attention to detail in composing, and proofing materials
- Able to establish priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment, with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands
- Advanced analytical and innovative problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in various computer programs, specifically Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint), Smartsheet's.
